Ingredients:
- 2 lbs chicken wings
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper optional
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp water
- Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish optional
Instructions:
In a bowl, mix BBQ sauce, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, grated ginger, black pepper, and cayenne pepper if using
Place chicken wings in the slow cooker
Pour the BBQ sauce mixture over the chicken wings, ensuring they are evenly coated
Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or on high for 2-3 hours, until the chicken wings are tender and cooked through
In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry
About 30 minutes before serving, remove excess liquid from the slow cooker, if desired, and stir in the cornstarch slurry
Let cook for an additional 30 minutes to thicken the sauce
Once done, serve the chicken wings hot, garnished with sesame seeds and sliced green onions if desired
